Early in her life, Melani searched for a way to use her mind to improve other people’s quality of life. Having successfully treated her own migraines and digestive disorders using Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Melani set out to learn as much as she could about the medicine. Melani has had the opportunity to help veteran and low-income communities and provided a non-pharmaceutical alternative for relief.
Melani’s passion for the healing process has driven her educational career and continues through providing individualized care and support to her patients.
She believes patient education is instrumental and strives to work alongside her patients to help them achieve their health goals. Melani is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, has a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM, certified in Auriculotherapy, is a Reiki Practitioner, and Adjunct faculty member at MCPHS University for the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS.
With Bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology from Bridgewater State University, Melani continued her study at the New England School of Acupuncture (now affiliated with MCPHS) and earned a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicines with focuses on Chinese Acupuncture Styles, Japanese Acupuncture Styles, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Melani grew up on the South Shore and currently lives in Worcester County.
